I am a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in English (concentrating on writing and literature) and a minor in Gender and Women's Studies. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in language nuances, grammar, and accessible communication. I have professional experience across a variety of roles, including marketing, publishing, and journalism. Motivated to grow by applying my experience in a new environment, I began working as an ophthalmic technician just before graduation. In this role, I work hands-on with ophthalmology patients and developed clinical skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. Now, I am seeking communications and writing focused roles where I can apply my effective writing skills and my understanding of the nuances of human connection.  ✧
